NEW HAVEN, Connecticut -- Teammates Galen Rupp and Jordan Hasay used different tactics with similar results Monday morning at the USATF 20 km Championships in New Haven, Connecticut, as the Nike Oregon Project runners scored big victories against tough fields.

Japan’s Mao Ichiyama finishes strong with first-place in women’s division - VIRGINIA BEACH – September 3, 2017 – The number one on Jeffrey Eggleston’s race bib at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon today was symbolic of the place he stood on the podium afterward: the top. The 32-year old blazed the scenic course along the Virginia Beach oceanfront in an incredible one hour, five minutes, and 55 seconds. Although warm temps were forecasted for Sunday’s race, the thermometer at the start read in the high 60s, which made for a great day of racing along one of the most appealing race courses in the United States.

Vivian and Mo - NEWCASTLE (GBR): Vivian Cheruiyot and Mo Farah will defend their titles in the Great North Run on 10 September. Cheruiyot will go head-to-head with former two-time winner and reigning London Marathon champion Mary Keitany while fellow Kenyans Betsy Saina and Caroline Kipkirui, who paced Keitany in the London Marathon in April, could also challenge. Top Brits in the field include Alyson Dixon and former runner-up Gemma Steel. In the men’s race, Farah will face last year’s runner-up Dathan Ritzenhein, New Zealanders Jake and Zane Robertson and veteran Bernard Lagat.

Encore coverage of the event will air Friday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Sunday, September 3, at 1 p.m. ET on NBC.

The final 16 IAAF Diamond League champions of the season will be revealed at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels on Friday (September 1) at the Van Damme Memorial, the second of the two 2017 IAAF Diamond League finals.

Joining Flanagan at the world’s largest marathon are Amanda McGrory, Abdi Abdirahman and Josh George in a group featuring four U.S. Olympians and seven Paralympians - New York, August 28, 2017 — Two-time wheelchair division champion Amanda McGrory and former open division runner-up Shalane Flanagan, along with last year’s third-place men’s finishers, Abdi Abdirahman and Josh George, will headline the American field racing the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 5.

Official registration for the 2018 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon opens Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10:00am PDT at www.lamarathon.com. On the first day of registration, a limited amount of marathon entries will be available at the discounted registration fee of $165.

The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON will stage a unique contest on September 24: for the first time in the history of the event the top three marathon runners in the world will be on the start line as the Kenyan duo of Eliud Kipchoge and Wilson Kipsang take on Ethiopia’s Kenenisa Bekele. The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is an Abbott World Marathon Majors (AWMM) event and an IAAF Gold Label Road Race.

Caster Semenya crowned the 76th edition of the ISTAF in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium with a world best in the 600 m. The South African ran 1:21.77, improving the former 20 year-old mark from Cuba’s Ana Fidelia Quirot by almost one second. A meeting record was established by Kenya’s Norah Tanui who took the 3,000 m Steeplechase in 9:03.70. Second-placed Gesa Krause ran a German record with 9:11.85. Another highlight was the men’s Javelin. Germany’s World Champion Johannes Vetter won with 89.85 m. 42,500 spectators watched the events of the ISTAF, which belongs to the IAAF World Challenge Series.
