cooperriverBR.jpgEvansville, IN (May 4, 2009) - Cooper River Bridge Run has decided to use ChronoTrack Systems’ timing equipment to replace the ChampionChip system they have been using for the past 18 years. The new ChronoTrack Systems solution was chosen to provide the event with disposable timing devices and accurate results that will save time and money while moving them forward in terms of new technology.

The event wanted a timing company that offers a proven solution that is ahead of the technology curve. After comprehensive research and a review of references, Cooper River Bridge Run found ChronoTrack Systems was the best company to meet their needs.

“Cooper River Bridge Run has always stayed on the cutting edge of technology and we wanted to continue that tradition,” said Julian Smith, Event Director or the Cooper River Bridge Run. “With ChronoTrack Systems we were able to offer the ease of disposable D-tags and the newest technology in event timing to our runners.”

ChronoTrack Systems provided Cooper River Bridge Run with the disposable D-Tag solution that eliminated chip collection, lost chip fees and streamlined the finish line of the race, which has been a little hectic in years past due to chip collection of the 40,000 participants.

According to Smith, one of the main values behind ChronoTrack’s solutions is their eye on the future, which allows the company to continue to quickly and easily develop enhancements, and additional timing options that events can use in the future.

Smith further added, “Our event was a huge success, ChronoTrack is clearly a step in the right direction and we look forward to using ChronoTrack Systems in the future.”

Cooper River Bridge Run joins a growing number of ChronoTrack Systems customers in North America, including Peachtree, LA Marathon, Marine Corps Marathon, The Broad Street Run, Gasparilla Distance Classic, and the Credit Union Cherry Blossom. Events continue to select ChronoTrack Systems as the right choice for event timing, now and in the future.
