Track & Field Clinic- Discus

Dear Coaches, Athletic Directors and throws-related staff:

I hope you have received an email from Mark Maas by now discussing my plan to reach out to you. My name is Luke Sullivan and I am a former collegiate All-American, and 2-time Olympic Trials, discus thrower. I have been hosting throws clinics in my home state of Wisconsin for 7 years, finding great joy in helping kids achieve their throwing goals. I am now expanding my clinics to reach across the country, helping as many athletes as I can to improve their throwing distances through technique development.

My career in sports.
My discus throwing career includes 20 years of training and competing, earning a full scholarship to UCLA, 4-time All American status as a member of the UCLA Track & Field team and, most recently, qualification for the 2008 Olympic Trials(although not competing due to injury). In high school, I was the nation's #1 prep discus thrower in 1994. In college, I threw discus, shot-put and hammer at UCLA where I learned under the skilled training of legendary throwing coach Art Venegas. I have learned from the best and now intend to do my part for the sport that enabled me to fulfill my dreams!

I am here to deliver results!
My clinics will help your athletes advance in several areas including distance, form and progression technique. My coaching team and I are extensively qualified to help you further your athletes' throwing skills, with our expertise allowing us to quickly hone in on the greatest areas of opportunity to improve technique and, ultimately, throwing distances. I personally select my coaches to ensure the highest quality of training during our clinics.

As Mark may have mentioned in his email, I am currently looking for appropriate venues to host throws clinics in your area. Your suggestions of large indoor high school facilities will help me focus my efforts on establishing local clinics as quickly as can.
