TurboJav: Making Javelin Throw Popular for School Programs
"Fresh and hot out of the box," as Tom Petranoff could say in his TurboJav commercial for the newly developed special javelin made mainly for trainings. The new TurboJav weighs 700 and 800 gramm, just as much as the man’s competition javelin, and its length is 180cm. The former American javelin world recordholder (1983, 99.72m), who took over the world record from the Hungarian Ferenc Paragi by 3 meters, has finally realized his dream.
The 52 year old Petranoff, just as Miklós Németh develops his own trade mark under ’Nemeth javelin’, continuously works on new product development. The new product brings safety, not to mention durability. Just for the record: TurboJav typically comes in metallic colors and it is made of HDPE polyethylene and is safe durable and long lasting. What needs to be done in the future? As Tom Petranoff would say: "The javelin throwing community must get kids young and attract them to our sport.”
